Monolith
Gavin Ashworth (Dun)

Gavin Ashworth’s sculpture and performance Monolith will be shown at the City Library. Part modern-abstractionism, part Neolithic tomb, or maybe some 2001: A Space Odyssey? Watch out for the electronic sound performance at the ground floor of the library at the opening of the exhibition.

Opuscules
Pearl with a Girl Earring (Dun)

 An opuscule, according to Collins, is a small or insignificant artistic work. Pearl with a Girl Earring has created a series of six pamphlets, distributed for your entertainment. Part cartoon, part literature and part absurdist propaganda, they include such titles as Suspected Secret Fantasies of Powerless Public Figures and MyFacepod v.2.4. obsolescence, instruction manual. They are opuscules.

Steve is a bundle of hilarious energy and loves nothing more than to spray it out all over the stage. Irene Pink in Metamorphosis

Since 2005, Irene has undergone a myriad of changes in her life, from embracing homeless people, and moving countries to shedding 30kgs in weight. “Pink's effortless delivery and rapport with the audience is deceptively skilful” – Theatreview. Eddi Reader
New Edinburgh Folk Club (Scotland)

Perfect! Eddi Reader is one of the great singers of our time. With her band Fairground Attraction she topped charts around the world with their distinctive acoustic pop hit Perfect. The death of their friend sparks a journey to Jerusalem, and the bedroom becomes a car, the North Island and James K. Baxter’s grave. The Quantum Enigma
Sascha Perfect (Wgtn)

In this piece of dance theatre Butoh and live music fuse together to create a rich, sensual and other-worldly experience. The work utilises extended vocal techniques and stretched timing. Life and death hang in the balance as a soul escapes its earthly form. Animalistic figures emerge from the blackness as time unfolds backwards and Memory recreates the fateful event.
