Drive-In Movies Make a Come Back

Film buffs from all over Otago will be making their way to the Countdown central carpark this weekend for one of the Dunedin Fringe Festival’s closing acts – the Night Vision drive-in short film festival. Night Vision is the country’s only drive-in short film festival, with over 30 films in a range of genres and styles.

Films are projected on to the wall of the Dunedin Central Police Station and viewed from the Countdown carpark with the film audio transmitted to car stereo systems. Night Vision runs over two nights with the 8.00pm and 10.00pm sessions being unique. To see all the films will require a double feature!

Film styles include stop motion animation, fantasy, documentary, experimental, music video, romance, and new this year, 90 second films! Over 60 film makers from around New Zealand and overseas entered with a very high standard of film making evident.
