Music to Repel

15/3/2012 - 25/3/2012 — Age Concern Car Park, Bath St

Classical music is usually played in the car park to deter loiterers. Pearl with a Girl Earring says classical is not repellent enough! Pearl's private kazoo orchestra has recorded a series of tracks specifically for the purpose of clearing all humans from the concrete enclosure. A different looped track will be loaded into the venue's speaker every weeknight of the Fringe.

Girl With a Movie Camera

24/3/2012 - 25/3/2012 — Fortune Theatre Mainstage

Dance/theatre and video performance Girl with a Movie Camera is inspired by director Dziga Vertov’s seminal film Man with a Movie Camera. Vertov’s images and words have provided a platform for dancers to develop themes into performance and respond to projected images, creating a physical and mechanical dialectic on stage.

Perky & Fiddle Show

Perky & Fiddle are two gnomes. But no normal gnomes, they travel around with an amazing, but completely illegal show. This very rhythmic and sexy show carries viewers away and exposes a side of gnome life that very few people ever get to see. But watch carefully, they are disguised and you may just miss them.

The Moon Knows: New Work by Mary McFarlane

The Moon Knows, a collection of large mirror paintings, is the culmination of years developing mirror plate as a painting medium. McFarlane's imagery taps into a world of collective and personal truths, the duplicity of surfaces, and the science and craft of metallurgy. Her mirrors force the viewer to not only see the work but to confront themselves.
